In the lead-up to Independence Day festivities this year, a novel initiative named the ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ campaign will pay tribute to the martyrs hailing from every corner of the nation. Conceived by PM Modi, the campaign’s inauguration is scheduled for August 9, culminating in a crescendo on the day of Independence.

Within this campaign, an ‘Amrit Kalash Yatra’ shall be orchestrated, symbolizing the journey of reverence. This endeavor will bring soil in 7,500 urns and saplings from the native soil of the martyrs’ villages to Delhi. These saplings will find a new home in Amrit Vatika, situated near the hallowed precincts of the National War Memorial in New Delhi.
